December Reflection
It truly was the most wonderful time of the year! To kick off the Christmas season in Hamilton, I judged the city's gingerbread-making contest and karaoke competition. This community never fails to make me feel special and I loved running into Mrs. Claus, Mrs. Mary Beth Hall (a former Miss Hamilton). The next day, I attended Abbie's Miss Alabama send-off and enjoyed seeing the familiar faces that make up this sweet sisterhood. I also served at the PGA Tour Superstore and helped wrap Christmas presents for customers. Upon my arrival back home to Fairhope for winter break, I finalized my CPR training and am now an official AHA LifeSaver. I enjoyed learning more about the necessity of AED awareness and the dangers of sudden cardiac arrest throughout the process. I also celebrated the 10-year anniversary of my emergency surgery, hospitalization, and journey to walk again on the 26th. To commemorate, I donated 100 gift bags and toys to USA Children's and Women's Hospital in Mobile, where I had been seen. It was so special to give back to a place that gave me so much.
