January Reflection
20th National Heart to Heart Conference hosted by Parent Heart Watch in Portland, Oregon
This month, I had the incredible honor of attending Parent Heart Watch’s 20th National Heart to Heart Conference in Portland, Oregon. The event brought together heart-wrenching stories from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) survivors, their families, and medical professionals dedicated to preventing these tragedies.
One of the most impactful parts of the conference was hearing from those who have experienced the devastating loss of a child to SCA. Their courage and advocacy for prevention are a powerful reminder of the critical need for awareness and action in saving lives.
In addition to connecting with survivors, I had the privilege of networking with many passionate advocates and organizations in the fight for SCA prevention. One of the highlights of the weekend was when Zoll AED generously donated an AED to P.U.L.S.E., furthering our shared mission to equip communities with the tools needed to save lives.
This experience reinforced the importance of advocacy and the need to continue working together to prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest. I'm inspired and energized by the work we all do to ensure that fewer families have to experience this preventable tragedy.
