2024 Wrapped
Looking back on 2024, I’m filled with gratitude for the milestones and experiences that made the year unforgettable. From community events to personal achievements, it’s been a year of growth. As I look ahead to 2025, I’m excited for the new opportunities to continue making a positive impact.
Here are some quick highlights from the year:
January: I started the year off strong by interning with District Court Judge Phillips of Mobile County. I also attended the Lighting of the Mardi Gras Tree in Mobile.
February: I promoted heart health by participating in Go Red For Women’s Heart Health Day on February 7th. I also rode in a Mardi Gras parade in downtown Mobile and took my official headshots for the Miss Alabama’s Teen Competition.
March: The month kicked off with the Miss Alabama’s Teen Competition, where I placed in the Top 6 for my work with P.U.L.S.E. and was named a Top 15 semi-finalist. It was such an incredible opportunity to advocate for the mission of P.U.L.S.E. and connect with such an amazing sisterhood.
April: As I was wrapping up my senior year, I was honored to be named an AP Scholar with Distinction and receive the St. Michael Scholar Award (achieved by taking four or more AP classes, four years of a foreign language, and maintaining a 4.0 GPA).
May: I graduated high school with honors and began my summer job as a counselor at Camp Crestridge in North Carolina, where I had the opportunity to serve for 6 weeks.
June: I attended orientation at Samford University and prepared for college, deciding to major in Law, Politics, and Society on the pre-law fast-track program.
July: I vacationed with my family and then focused on preparing for upcoming preliminary competitions and advancing the work of P.U.L.S.E. I was also booked to model at AmericasMart in Atlanta for Faviana during the formal market.
August: My favorite month, as I won my first ever Miss preliminary competition and became the 50th Miss Hamilton. I also attended St. Michael High School’s stadium dedication and began my studies at Samford University, joining the SGA’s Freshman Forum for leadership training.
September: Starting college at Samford University was a major milestone, and I was excited to join Kappa Delta as a 5x legacy. I also visited all of the covered bridges in Blount County and continued to connect with sponsors in Oneonta.
October: I participated in several community events in Hamilton, including the Buttahatchee River Fall Festival and the Historic Society’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. I also took part in the Covered Bridge Festival fashion show and supported the Miss Alabama Organization’s "Healthy Hearts Tea Party."
November: I passed on my Miss Covered Bridge’s Teen title and reflected on the growth of P.U.L.S.E. I also emceed Winfield’s Miss Merry Christmas pageant and welcomed in the holiday season.
December: I had the pleasure of judging Hamilton’s gingerbread-making and karaoke contests and was fortunate to meet Mrs. Claus (Mrs. Mary Beth Hall, a former Miss Hamilton). I also celebrated Abbie’s Miss Alabama send-off, volunteered at the PGA Tour Superstore, and completed my CPR training to become an official AHA LifeSaver. I ended the year by marking the 10-year anniversary of my recovery from emergency surgery with a donation to USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile.
2024 was a year full of growth and meaningful moments, and I’m excited to see what 2025 brings. Thanks for being part of the journey — I can’t wait to share more with you all!
