March Reflection
A Month of Growth and Connection
March has been a month filled with incredible opportunities and creating new connections.
One of the highlights was attending Miss Alabama Orientation, where I finally chose my contestant number—Sigma #36 and officially announced my talent style as Ballet en Pointe. It was such a special time to officially meet my 42 new sisters and learn more to prepare for the competition.
I also had the privilege of cheering on my amazing Miss Hamilton’s Teen, Kat Grigsby, during the Miss Alabama's Teen Competition. I am so proud of her for placing in the Top 5 and know she made the entire “Ham Fam” proud!
On the modeling front, March was a very exciting month. I found out that I am a JOVANI It Girl and will be modeling for the brand at the beginning of April at AmericasMart. I am beyond excited and so grateful to have been chosen for this opportunity! I signed with Forward The Agency, and also attended several workshops in Atlanta, where I sharpened my skills and connected with others in the industry. That same weekend I made it back to Alabaster for Miss AL teen finals. Congratulations to Addison Shoemaker, Miss Alabama’s Teen 2026!
Towards the end of the month, I got to spend the day in Hamilton. I spoke with elementary students about the importance of sudden cardiac arrest prevention and taught Call-Push-Shock protocol. I had the privilege of reading with preschoolers at Hamilton First Baptist Church and visiting residents at a local assisted living home. It was so fulfilling to share the mission of P.U.L.S.E. and engage with the area I get to represent this year.
Additionally, I spoke at Hamilton Middle and High School, where I shared the importance of AEDs and CPR training. It was so heartwarming to cheer on the soccer team before their big game and chat with the dance team as they prepped for auditions. The warmth from the community was deeply appreciated and it truly made my day to hear so many little girls share with me that they want to be Miss Hamilton when they grow up. Being able to inspire the next generation and serve as a role model is such a big part of why I do what I do.
